Why do I assume to do What a Manufacturer says.Because they should know how to use their product.

.But a even thick coat is required.Coming out in globs or spitting is not acceptable as working !!!

And it also shouldn't be thinned.Aquaplas is a functional material,not a paint.

(OG) I am not going to guarantee it will do a quality job, only that I can get it to work.

OK if you won't guarantee a quality job then, "What Is The Point"

I still don't understand saying it's not the one when no claim was made it was.

Again, PDF's are written by people with minimal, or often zero use of the product from info passed on to them.

As far as a thick coat required, wrong. If you have done much painting you know multiple coats built up is often superior to one thick coat.

As far as not thinning, wrong, says you can in the PDF. One the water has evaporated there is no difference in damping ability. It depends on material thickness, thinning has zero effect.

All I suggested was something that MIGHT be worth looking at. If you don't appreciate tips other than what the manufacturer recommends, you may want to just ignore my posts.

I've built a number of racing engines, i guarantee you GM and Ford didn't put any of the ways I used the stuff in PDF's. People experimenting and not following the rules is often how progress is made.

It's also responsible for some abysmal failures. Nearly as many as following manufacturers instructions.

What you view as hard and fast rules I view as a reference sheet. Just a difference in personalities.

To me manufacturer suggestions are never anything more than a starting point.

Doesn't mean we can't get along. But I will never go along with you are supposed to follow instructions exactly.

I don't stick to recipes when I cook, either. I read the recipe, I know enough about spices to have an idea what it's going to taste like. So I change it to what I want.
